superman returns is a 2006 superhero/action film which was produced and directed by Bryan singer, based around the DC comic book character superman. it stars Brandon routh as Superman/Clark Kent, Kate Bosworth as Lois Lane, Kevin spacey as Lex Luther. the film tells the story of after having left earth for five years superman finds that his love-interest Lois lane as well as the world has moved on from him, she even wrote an article on 'why the world doesn't need superman' while his arch-enemy lex Luther is plotting to destroy him and the world. the film itself was released in the united states in June 28, 2006 and has a running time of 154 minutes.
Plot:
superman has been missing for around five years to travel to the location where astronomers believed were remnants of krypton , however this was proven false as superman decides to come back to earth to find that his romantic love interest Lois Lane as well as the people of the earth have moved on from him, he resumes his job as a reporter at the daily planet in metropolis city, while he also manages to find out that Lois has married and has a kid, Meanwhile lex travels to the fortress of solitude and steals kryptonian crystals which will be a part of his scheme to take over the world. within the trailer it only manages to show glimpses of this and lex's plot to destroy superman and the world, superman uses his astounding powers within the film and trailer to save the world.
